you'll never know who i am

i'll never look you in the eye

i'll never tell the truth

and i'll never tell a lie

whatever happens, happens

is the way that i feel

and all these stupid poems

are the way that i spill

my guts out onto the floor

for everyone to see

because no matter how hard you look

you'll never see the real me

it's not this ugly face

that's on the front of my head

it's the one deep inside

the one that's fallen dead
