Boxes In My Head
By: Skyla
My emotions run on a very thin line
The end is near my forehead
This is labeled Output
Along the way little boxes haply line the path
One by one they go in a row
Silly and Happy are near the back
These are small, usually empty boxes
Since they most often go to Output
Annoyance, Anger, Hatred, Fear, Despair
These all have openings leading to one big box; Explode
This is near the front
To catch the bad before they reach Output
Thus the box Explode is constantly, slowly, filling
Tears is the largest box
It follows the line on one whole side
All emotions that try to travel the line
But over exceed the capacity of such a thin path
Flood over into Tears
The strainer in the bottom of Tears
Helps it to never overflow
Any speeding emotion, eager to reach Output
May easily bump another, already close to falling,
Into either Explode or Tears
Depending on the tilt of my head
