Learned At The End

By: Stranger1984

I look in your eyes,

What do I see?

That fateful night,

When you asked me,

"What is he like,

And will he be with me?"

I should have said something,

'Cause you were my friend.

But I chose to say nothing.

And let you learn at the end.

I could have said no,

And he's not your type,

But instead I let you go,

And you got into fights.

He called you a witch and he called you a ho,

I should've defended you 'cause that shit's not right.

I should have said something,

'Cause you were my friend,

But I chose to say nothing,

And I learned at the end.

I'm sorry if I let you get hurt,

And I'm sorry if I treated you like dirt.

But from now on,

I'll always be there,

Because I really do care.

That night I should have spoken,

I went off on my own.

And you get your heart broken,

'Cause I didn't let you know,

All he was about,

Was to get under your clothes.

I should have said something,

'Cause you were my friend,

But I chose to say nothing,

And we both learned at the end.
