Enchanted Garden Poem
By: Fox
Trapped in the eclipse, darkness holding tightly
Breath is scarce and rapid as is the mind and heart
Eyes open wide and horrified mouth open in a scream, lips parted slightly
Praying the night will soon depart
Tension crushes the body while the eyes flicker
Toward the result, a purity, an ill-tempered will
Blood is flowing, making the ground slicker
It crawls up her spine in a chill
The daggers that pierced her were gentle
But as her fingers grazed the top, the shadows controlled
Never believing what she has perceived was mental
Listen to the heart and truth behold.
The purity rose, petals of thorns
Slicing those within the Enchanted Garden
Seeming so isolated, pure in the shadows, alone
She screams into the night, asking the same question “When?â€
She shed tears of scarlet to the rose
A fool, tricked by the power of the shadow
Surrounded, never to see light again, shadows enclose.
Terror inside her wished for light to bestow
And as the shadow wrapped the pale face,
She holds a white rose, still crimson tears she cries
She finally let’s go and lets ebony embrace
Now a dark angel, raven wings unfold, and she flies.
