Time is a River
By: Yoshiman
Time is a River
Time is a river,
Always moving forward,
Never looking back,
Carrying us along
An unchangeable path.
Time is a stream,
Sometimes as peaceful
As an autumn breeze,
Sometimes as violent
As a midnight storm.
Time is a tsunami,
Unforgiving,
Rapidly approaching,
Attacking with a
Relentless force.
Time is a river,
Steady
And unwavering;
Occasionally we can
Stop and enjoy the view;
Oftentimes we are
Swept away,
Clinging to the walls,
Trying our best
To slow our swim
Toward the end.
Whether we are
Floating quietly onward
Or swimming against
A powerful current,
We will always end up
Upon the shores
Of the sea.
Time is a river,
Always moving forward,
Never looking back,
Carrying us along
An unchangeable path.
Time is a stream,
Sometimes as peaceful
As an autumn breeze,
Sometimes as violent
As a midnight storm.
Time is a tsunami,
Unforgiving,
Rapidly approaching,
Attacking with a
Relentless force.
Time is a river,
Steady
And unwavering;
Occasionally we can
Stop and enjoy the view;
Oftentimes we are
Swept away,
Clinging to the walls,
Trying our best
To slow our swim
Toward the end.
Whether we are
Floating quietly onward
Or swimming against
A powerful current,
We will always end up
Upon the shores
Of the sea.
